Autonomous Driver System - Project details
Motor vehicles are an integral part of today's fast paced world. With so many vehicles on the road, and also with the high speeds experienced on high ways, why has there not been any automated safety collision systems that could be of huge assistance to drivers?
The aim of my project is to develop such a system. One that will be active during driving, and that will motor for external events that pose safety risks. It will be able to perform actions based on the event. For example, a driver in front of us suddenly braking and having the potential to crash into us will trigger the system to take evasive action such as braking also or to turn out of the way if there is enough room.
